FFWD Wheels and Dutch Cycling Federation Go For Gold
FFWD Wheels and the Royal Dutch Cycling Union (KNWU) sign exclusive five year partnership agreement. The agreement starts in January 2020 with the ultimate goal of Gold at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. The partnership between the two Dutch entities establishes a long term collaboration with the goal to further develop the fastest wheels possible that will offer riders the best performing equipment to beat the competition. The primary focus of the collaboration will be on track athletes, including para athletes, who will represent The Netherlands during European Championships, World Championships and the Olympic Games. At Eurobike 2018 FFWD Wheels presented Project Falcon in cooperation with M5. We are now pleased to announce the launch of the fastest bicycle wheel in history. THE WHEEL The Falcon wheel features a revolutionary design employing only two NACA profile shaped spokes in the center of the wheel and a rim profile with a variable depth arc from 48mm to 90mm. This unique design results in the least amount of aerodynamic resistance which significantly reduces drag and increases watt savings. The Hagens Berman | Supermint Pro Cycling team competed in the UCI Women’s WorldTour Amgen Tour of California, May 16-18th, and the team had impressive results. On Stage 1 after 30 kilometers in a solo breakway that lasted over three categorized climbs, Lindsay Goldman was awarded the Most Courageous Rider jersey. On stage 3, Leigh Ann Ganzar launched an incredible sprint to finish 3rd on the day. The team was the only American women’s team to earn podiums throughout the entire tour and we are so proud of the team’s collective effort.
